It is Recharter Time

Each year, every Scout unit recharters with the National BSA.  Registered Scouts' rank advancement can be recorded and leaders' backgrounds checked. Unregistered people fall through the cracks. A proper and timely reregistration process validates our membership, an important process.

With online rechartering, you can step through the process. Having all the membership inforamation is important. If you don't have the information you need to complete a step, it will save the current state and pick right back up when you return. Don't wait to the last minute and then realize that missing information. For example, the Charter Executive needs to sign the forms in two places. Start now and take your time.
